The XD-1 inverted biological microscope means that the light source illuminates from the top to down, as shown on the right, The observed object (petri dish) is placed on the stage, the light passes through the petri dish and then form an image, it reaches the lower objective lens, and the image is magnified by the objective lens and reflected to the right eyepiece, which is magnified by the eyepiece and then enters the human eye. The optical path of the inverted biological microscope is just the opposite of that of a general biological microscope, so it is called an inverted biological microscope.
